The day Chris Packham came to the village

This fellow suddenly popped up - highly relevant design at this time.

...His Majesty King Charles III - newly proclaimed!

This delightful lady is serving a spendid high tea for our wildlife!

And the teapot is an inviting nest site!

Not too far from the tea lady we find this huge Gruffalo - he's sure to scare the crows!

We think this lady has had a wild life, but is still keen to help the local ducks!

How much more friendly can you be to the bees and butterflies_

Here's a handsome chappie.

...looks a bit overweight with that nice straw stuffing.

...many entries had managed to include red, white and blue elements, here we have the Union Jack on his neckerchief. See if you can spot morre as you browse the pictures!

A very smart chappie here, pockets full of treats for the wildlife

Nicely posed...

...a lovely outfit...

...and an enticing basket of fruit presented by this yellow-haired beauty_

This fellow is called Murgatroyd - lots of nesting, foraging and feeding opportunities here!

Well this is original - a motorcycling scarecrow.

...with a birdhouse for a head...

..and a bee house in his chest!

Here's a farmer with his sheep and pig.

Why does he look so happy?

Aahh...now we can see..

It's not often you see a ScareHorse!

...very original.

Another creation inspired by Chris Packham

Plenty of accomodation here.

And some refreshments.

and places for the bees and bugs

including a bird feed table

For those who remember Bill and Ben the flowerpot men.

Just to prove a point - a bee visiting the sunflower!

Is this Bill?

If so, this is Ben - love the detail on their faces!

Meet 'Boris' in his blue suit.

With his 'First Class Return Ticket'

This is Bob - the scarecrow boy

Just love Bob's face

And the clever use of the supporting arrangement to provide food

A very relaxed scarecrow...

...his tin bucket head is filled with straw and foliage for hair.

A stylish scarecrow - almost lifelike from a distance

Twigs in a pocket for the bugs

Complete with explanatory notes for the judge

lovely use of died-back sunflower heads for eyes - still good food for the bugs!

Water bowl amongst the hair for the birds

Plenty of berries for earrings!

A trio of scarecrows here, displaying Wild Weedon bug hotel and swift box

Our winning entry - the bee keeper of Groveway Farm_

Lots of fine detail here.
