About Us
Reversing the decline of wildlife
Our
Story
Weedon Wildlife Group - otherwise known as "Wild Weedon" - aims to protect and promote the wellbeing of wildlife in and around Weedon village.

Formed early in 2021 and based in Weedon, Bucks, we are keen to have as many folk involved as possible. Our plan is to find out what species we have in the village and surrounding area, from bugs to badgers, birds to blooms (well, all sorts of plant life!) and then identify opportunities to increase the diversity.

Run by volunteers, we're a friendly bunch who welcome new members,
you can have as much - or as little - involvement as you like!
Our current tasks involve:
-
Observing and mapping wildlife
-
Getting stuck in with building birdhouses, hedgehog homes, bug hotels etc
-
Planning and running an exciting programme of events and activities with the support of our Members

We are looking forward to continue working with local land owners and residents to support projects in line with the above goal.

We have received great encouragement from the Weedon Parish Council and
BBOWT (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust)
and intend to continue to build on these relationships.
