Weedon Wildlife Group ("we / us /our") is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. These arrangements are intended to satisfy the obligations placed on organisations by the GDPR Data Protection Act 25th May 2018 (the Act), which requires us to declare what information is stored and why it is needed.
Why we collect information from you
We only collect and retain data which is necessary for the administration of our website and promotion of our activities. We store it electronically and review it periodically. We do not provide your personal data to third parties.
What information we collect from you
We store the following data on our members:
Name: this is so that we can identify who our members are.
Email address / Phone number: this allows us to contact you regarding our activities and events
We store the following data on people who support or participate in our activities and events:
Name: this is so that we can identify who our supporters are
Email address / Phone number: this allows us to contact you regarding future activities and events
Photographs and videos: we take and store photographs/videos so that they can be used to promote the group. If you do not wish your image to be used in this way your preference will be registered and any images of you will not be used.

If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
We may invite you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them. From time to time we may share survey results with other organisations for the purpose of supporting local, national or international research, such information will exclude any personal details.
If you visit our website, we may collect statistical information regarding the pages visited for the purpose of identifying improvements to the site.
From time to time, and at least once every four years, we will review the personal information we hold.
You can ask us to remove your personal information from our records at any time and we will do so and stop sending you any further correspondence. You can opt out of our electronic correspondence simply by replying with ‘Unsubscribe’ as the subject.
